What would you wear with boyfriend jeans?

I like to balance out my boyfriend jeans with sexier tops.  So I usually pair them with crop tops, peplums, or bodysuits so that I don’t look too frumpy.  I alternate between sandals and heels depending on my mood, but since I’m so short tennis shoes aren’t an option because they seem to cut my legs off.  If you have long model legs then go for it!

Hey, Am a size 8/10 really really short black girl but I have a tummy bulge, so what sorta dresses should I wear to flatter my body?

Try a maxi dress with an empire waist.  The empire waist will give you the appearance of a higher waist, and the free flowing, loose fitting bottom will conceal your bulge.

I would do short dresses with an empire waist and maybe show some skin in the back.  The length would lengthen your legs and the empire waist would camouflage your tummy while still giving you a waist.

I have a question. I have always had this problem since 8th grade I'm very grown now. But, I am 6'0 tall with hour glass shape hip and but same size. Thick. So my thing is why is it so hard to find clothes in a store that fit me in length & width? Do you know of any stores that I can check out? Oh and same goes for my size 12 feet. It's like the only place I can go is Payless for when I want like some heels. Please help. Thanks:-)

As far as shoes I would suggest ordering from the designer’s website instead of a department store because the designer’s site tends to have a greater range in sizes.  My mom has extremely small feel so she always has to order from the designer’s website or get the store to order a special order in her size.

I am attending a runway show this Sunday. The paparazzi will be there. What should I wear to guarantee I am featured in the local papers and on tv?

MAKE A [fashion] STATEMENT. They will have no choice but to interview you. Patterned pants and statement necklaces are trendy; a simple outfit with a drastic shoe; arm candy galore…

Pick one thing to make a statement; top, bottoms, shoes, accessories, and build your outfit around that piece.

This question was submitted one week ago, so we probably responded too late. The reason I still decided to publish was two-fold, the information that Gladyz posted is still useful and I wanted to get this next piece of information out there in the universe…

All of us associated with BGKI have lives, so do not send us a question on thursday asking for suggestions for an event that is friday. If you know that you want assistance for a specific event, submit the question at least one week in advance.

I have a interview at urban outfitters I have no idea what to wear!!! There definitely not business people but there are uber stylish and very hipstery. any ideas on outfits?

I used to work at Urban!! It’s a great company who really love their staff. Like you said they’re not uptight or conservative in any form. They want to see how you would dress on a normal chill day. I suggest you go into one of the stores and see what they have on the sales floor right now just for a few ideas as well as what other employees are wearing. I went to my interview looking very 70’s hippie chic lol. I wore a peach maxi dress, with a goddess headpiece, and Farrah Fawcett hair. Good luck!! Stay chic!!

I find that I'm thick in the hips, thigh, and butt area, but I'm not very "full" at the top and when I try to pull off certain styles like the distressed high-waist shorts 90s grunge I find myself looking odd. What makes it worse is that I have short legs. How can I even out my body with colors/prints to make it look leveled out?

Certain trends and styles aren’t made for all body types :( its the sad truth. Your body sounds a bit similar to mine and finding jeans period that fit when your so thick in the thighs and booty can be a struggle BUT what you can do to achieve that look is use “mom jeans”. Those jeans with all that extra space in them will work perfectly for you so visit your closet thrift store or good will. Stay chic!!

PLEASE HELP!!! I flat ironed my hair in the front and my hair line like disappeared. I'm really dark so now its like light splotches in the front :( I want to grow my hairline back fast and darken that skin. What do I do and what do I need? Thanks! PLEASE RESPOND PLEASEE!!

First we’ve got to step away from the flat iron. Too much of that can cause heat damage and let me tell you that your edges are so hard to get back once theyre gone. Try massaging your edges and scalp with a mix of oils like jojoba, castor, extra virgin olive oil, and coconut. Just massage it into your hair 2-3 times a week. Also dont wear too many tight pony tails or buns cause that also causes breakage to your edges. Stay chic!!

I wore the same shorts all the time last summer. They need some jazzing up. What should I do?

Try adding some studs and spikes or a complete color change.  You can also wear them differently.  I usually wear shorts with just a tank and sandals, but when I wear them with a cuter top and heels they look completely different.  Hope this helps.  Kill it doll!

Distress them!! Cut and slice them up, then throw them in the wash, and you’ll have a chic, expensive looking pair of dope shorts. Stay chic!!

Do you know any great thrift stores online that sell blazers for bellow 15$ and like cheap blouses and t-shirts that aren't more expensive than 10$? Thanks!

Firstly check out shopBGKI.com and click on Kemi Kloset there are a bunch of vintage blazers up there that are completely affordable. If for some reason that doesn’t work out for you check out KevinHadden he’s got a mix of vintage and up to date trends on his site. Stay chic!!
