Anonymous: How do you guys keep yourself and your clothes looking good? Any special tips on how to keep your clothes and shoes looking new?

I wash all my colored clothing in cold water to keep them from bleeding color onto other items. It also keeps my clothes from fading as fast. I also hang up thin shirts instead of putting them in the dryer. It keeps them from shrinking and getting holes in them. Those are the only things I do to help preserve my clothes.

Best thing in my opinion that keeps clothes and shoes looking new is leaving them in the store. I’m just teasing try buying some Silica packets, they keep shoes from dry rotting. Also a good thing that keeps clothes looking like new is when washing, turn them on the wrong side and handwash.

Anonymous: Hi, hopefully you guys can help me, so I'm trying to change my wardrobe and rock the 50's look (like Dorothy Dandridge) or the rockabilly look, but I seem to have a few problems. 1. I don't really like dresses and skirts because I have chicken legs. 2. I usually wear flat shoes or low heels girls, I'm all about comfort. 3. I wear glasses and have short hair. Could you guys help with outfits and pieces that I should buy?

First let me just say I LIVE for Dorothy Dandridge. She was the epitome of style, grace, class, and sophistication. Watching her movies as a little black girl truly inspired me.. Ok Im done lol. You can totally achieve that retro 1950’s look without ever wearing a skirt or heels. I mean just google celebs from that era in the their down time and most of them wore high waisted slacks, cute button up blouses showing a bit of mid driff, with flats. Peg leg slacks, polo shirts, cropped cardigans, and a cute neck tie scarf would all look fab!! Add a cat eye with a red lip and you’re a hot rockabilly chick!! Stay chic!!

Hii Jordann!! Maybe your parents wouldnt mind if you experimented with your nails. Plus once you learn to give yourself mani/pedi’s you’ll be saving plenty of cash. Once a week pick up a new polish. If you live near a CVS there is a brand called Spoiled and those are only 99 cents. Mix and match, create nail art, and hopefully the rents will approve. Stat chic!!

Start with something small like your nails as Tima suggested. You could also try funky accessories. Maybe some accessories with a print or in a bright color. It won’t be as noticeable as a complete change in style.

There is nothing I love more than an all white ensemble! I feel like it makes a statement all on its own and you will never go unnoticed. Maybe you can do a nice sheer white top, with white shorts, and an out toe gold shoe, with gold accessories. Or go for a Miami vibe with a sexy dress or cute and fun dress. Stay chic!!

Honestly it comes with time. At least that’s what happened with me. I realized that if I’m happy with the way I look then that’s all that’s important. You can’t please everyone so please the person that matters the most YOU! Keep killing it doll!

Anything bright and sparkly lol. Vegas is all about the bold, adventurous, and being over the top so a cute, tight, mini, sequin dress would be great but if you want to go a different route why not try a black or red cat suit with spiked Litas. Stay chic!!

I understand what youre saying. Stars like Diana Ross, Patti Labelle, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna all have a “look” its as if they were born to be stars when you see them. I think you should really think about what you see for yourself. For instance if you see yourself as a glamour girl then find new and inventive ways to take it to the next level. Or if you’re more of the hot chick with an edge maybe something like this would work for you and help you stand out from the crowd. Stay chic!!

Anonymous: I have a job interview for a Entry-Level Account Manager position. I've been searching high 'n low for something "business professional", what should I wear? (Be mindful that I live in Texas,lol.)

That good ol’ Texas heat! I understand, first hand, Houston, TX born and raised! For a professional interview, you always want to keep it simple and look professional. A black or navy pants suit would be ideal, with a white button down. Your shoes should be a heel of a modest length, and closed. Another option would be a pair of slacks and a light weight cardigan. Your top doesn’t have to be a button down, but no cleavage should be visible at all. If you choose to go for a cardigan, go for a black, gray, or pastel color. When it comes to jewelry; earrings, should be studs, and only one pair should be worn, no facial piercings, a simple necklace (a strand of pearls or thin chain), one ring (wedding band, class ring…) no statement pieces. If you opt for a skirt instead of the slacks, make sure that when you sit down, your skirt covers your knees, and that you have on flesh tone stockings. Good luck!

I think loose waves or big curly hair would be cute. If you’re going to swim then just go for something simple like a ninja bun. As far as an outfit why not show a little skin with an oversized crop top & denim cutoffs or a brightly colored or printed maxi dress. I also would love a romper and a fedora. Kill it doll!

I say keep it easy, breezy and rock out with a maxi dress. You can wear your swim suit underneather so theres no hassle about changing. As far as your hair I agree with Danni, a nice bun will do. Stay chic!!

therestlessreckless: HELP BGKI! So until recently I didnt really like the look of combat boots for everyday footwear. Now I really want a pair cuz I'm from Wisconsin and they can be worn almost every season here and I have been looking around everywhere. I'd prefer black but a brown pair isnt bad either and hopefully since theyre out of season I can find some for less than 60 bucks, but I'm also a size 9 and finding that is hard too. Whats up Wisconsin!!! Lol I love combat boots too just because theyre perfect for harsh NYC winters. I found a few pairs that are cool and edgy that are in your price range. Style #1 and style #2. Blazers look great with just about everything. They look cute with dresses, skirts, shorts. You can dress them up with a pencil skirt, tank, pumps, and pearls or you can dress them down with shorts, a graphic tee, and combat boots. Have fun trying some different styles. Kill it doll!

wild-one-too: Hey guys! I recently bought these shorts from forever 21 and i was wondering what exactly I would wear with them, i've been having a hard time pairing them with anything in my closet (you can go on forever21's website and search "Railroad Stripe Matelot Shorts" to see them) Thanks!

I instantly think sailor when I see these shorts so you could pair them with a white button down with red or blue accents and a cute red sandal. Try not to be so literal with this. I would stay away from tops with bows or ties around your neck to avoid looking like you’re wearing a costume. Use patriotic colors to achieve a sailor inspired look. You could also do something completely different and wear them with a white tank and a blazer or denim vest. Either one would be cute. I’m partial to more costume-inspired dressing so sailor is my preference lol. Kill it doll!

Try pairing them with a top thats bright color like red, fuchsia, or turquoise. Or maybe something simple like a white tank top with a great chunky necklace that has plenty of color and gems encrusted on it. Add a cute sandal or purple pump and you’ll look sickening!! Stay chic!!
